HOW WE TRAVEL

The style of travelling of SUDELESTE is based on two essential principles: hitchhiking as often as possible and being hosted by a member of the travelling organization couchsurfing. For those who are not familiar with the concept, couchsurfing is an association where travellers of the whole world offer, if possible, a place to stay in their homes to people who are visiting their city, for as much time as they want and free of any costs. However, couchsurfing experiences are much more than that: it depends on the availability and will of the hosts, and on finances. So, a couchsurfing experiences can be a simple sofa or bed for the night, to a homemade meal, use of a computer and Internet, exclusive tour guides and friends to go on beautiful walks, to have pleasant discussions and to go out in bars or cafes.  GOALS

First of all, we can highlight a big will and need to explore new countries, new continents and to discover unique and beautiful places given to us by the exuberant natural wealth of our planet, and also those created by man, from the very beginning of mankind to nowadays.

Although these geographical goals, there will always be personnel goals, no doubt much more valuable, like overcoming difficulties that will always appear, sharing unique moments with people of very different, even completely opposite, cultures and lifestyles, and the intellectual and personnel growth resulting from every challenge and experience that we had.

Participating in social work is always one of our goals: helping organizations that bring people together under one common goal to make the lives of those who are disadvantaged better. It is here that visitors of this website can directly participate in our project. For more information, go to the “Souvenir” page. Once we have started to develop these activities, we will also start to add the respective news, photos and videos.

Other main goals are the production of photographic material to post online and maybe to print out, and the production of a series of documentaries about the countries we will be visiting.

And, finally, after countless editions of SUDELESTE, to really become or at least feel like CITIZENS OF THE WORLD.
